MANICURE AT HOME

Most of the work is done by your hands than any other part of the body. How much care are we taking for these helping hands, especially for women, who do all the household work.  A good manicure does a great favor for your hands. You need not go to beauty parlors and spend lot of money on manicure; you can also give manicure to yourself at your home.

Just try these easy-do pampering techniques to get a salon type manicure.

7 EASY STEPS TO DO MANICURE AT HOME

STEP 1:

Soak your hands in a bowl of warm water to which gentle soap and peppermint and chamomile oils have been added. For an effective and quick massage, place marbles at the bottom of the bowl. Gently play with them and roll them around your fingers. Leave hands immersed in water for 20 minutes, then shake and pat dry. Before soaking your hands take a nail polish remover and remove previous nail polish if present.

STEP 2:

Now apply a drop of olive oil or cuticle softener on your each nail at the root. This will make your cuticle soft so that you can push them back or cut.

STEP 3:

You already soaked your hand in water for 20 minutes and this made your nails considerably soft so that you can cut them easily. You choose the shape and size according to your wish but, do not cut your nails too short. Now shape your nails using a nail file. You can use a glass or metallic nail file. The only point to remember while shaping is file only in one direction.

STEP 4:

The olive oil or cuticle softener which you had applied before has been there for more than 10 minutes. Now it’s time to look after your cuticles. It is advised to push back your cuticles rather than cutting them. With the help of a cuticle pusher gently push back your cuticles.

STEP 5:

The next step after pushing your cuticles back is exfoliating your hands. For this, use a mild scrub in a circular motion, massage deep into your palms and fingers. This will help you to scrub away all the dead skin.

STEP 6:

Now apply a cream that contains alpha hydroxyl acids and vitamin C to rebuild your skin and then gently massage your hands. If you can ask somebody else help to massage your hand, then you can just relax and enjoy the experience.

STEP 7:

Now take your favorite nail paint and then apply on your nails. First apply a base coat and let it dry for 2 minutes and then apply another coat to intensify the color.
