Toning is one of the most important of the skin care routine. Cleansing itself is not enough to make your skin beautiful, but toning and exfoliating is also very much needed to cleanse your skin thoroughly and care for it properly.

Those who have oily skin, toning is very important. As we drink water every day, it is necessary for those with oily skin to tone their skin repeatedly. Toning helps to dissolve make up and remove dirt, dust, and grime from the pores. Toners are intended to close pores, freshen the complexion and refine the skin.

Now a days there are many chemical based toners that harm our skin. In order to avoid such chemical based toners, we have to find and make some simple homemade toners for oily skin. It is really very simple to make toners at home that to with the ingredients which are commonly available in our kitchen. Here are some homemade toners especially for oily skin.

9 HOME MADE TONERS FOR OILY SKIN

ALOE VERA TONER:

Aloe Vera is a herbal medicine since from the beginning of the first century.  Take adequate amount of sap from the stem of aloe Vera and make a smooth paste. Now apply the paste all over your face and neck. Let it dry for 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse off with normal water.

GREEN TEA TONER:

Green tea has a lot of anti-oxidants. It acts as a good toner to treat acne. It removes excess oil. Steep 2 green tea sachets in a cup of boiling water and stay out until the water cools down. Now pour the water in a spray bottle and store it. You can store the water for a week. Every day in the morning spray the water on your face and then wash out your face with normal water.

APPLE AND HONEY TONER:

Take one apple and peel it off and remove the seeds within. Now blend the apple into fine paste and mix one table spoon of honey to it. Mix the apple paste and honey thoroughly and apply it on your face and neck. Wait for 15-30 minutes then rinse off with normal water.

TOMATO AND HONEY TONER:

Blend a tomato with a blender and collect the juice into a bowl. Now add honey to the tomato juice to form a thick paste. Mix both the juice and honey thoroughly and apply it all over your face and neck. Leave it for 15 minutes and then wash your face with normal water. This is one of the best toner for oily skin.

ROSE WATER TONER:

Rose water endeavor many profits for your skin. Its helps to maintain skins PH balance and helps to fight acne. It acts as a good toner by offering anti-bacterial properties. Use rose water as a toner to naturally tone up your skin. Apply rose water on your skin with the use of a cotton balls or you can even spray rose water mist on your face.

PEACH AND OLIVE OIL:

Peaches are good source of anti-oxidants and a great source of vitamin c which is a great benefit for your skin. Olive oil has number of benefits for your skin. The combination of the both peaches and olive oil is a very good toner for your skin. Take 2 peaches and peel them. Along with olive oil blend the peaches into smooth fine paste. Now apply this mixture on your face and neck. Wait for 15 minutes then wash your face with warm water. This toner gives you fair and youthful skin.

BASIL LEAVES TONER:

Fresh basil leaves helps to clear bacteria on your face. It is a wonder herb that promotes skin and hair health. Take one handful of basil leaves and add them to a cup of boiling water. And then allow the water to cool down and then you can store it in a bottle and keep it in refrigerator. Whenever you want to use the water just dip a cotton ball and apply it on your face and then wash your face with normal water.

LEMON JUICE TONER:

Lemon juice has healing and toning properties. It is a quick and cheap remedy for lightening your skin. Apply lemon juice on your face and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes and then rinse off with normal water. This toner also makes your face oil free.

CUCUMBER AND YOGURT TONER;

Cucumber is one of the ‘super foods’ for a healthy skin. Blend a fresh cucumber and mix yogurt to the cucumber paste. Now apply this mixture on your face and neck. Leave it for 15 minutes and then wash your face with normal water. People with oily skin have great benefit with this toner. This really works magnificently.

 

Simple tips:

·        Always use warm water to cleanse oily skin.

·        Regular cleansing your face at least twice a day keep your face oil free.

·        Remember not to scrub too much.

·        Do not touch your face with bare hands; it transfers oil, dirt and germs.

·        Always use chemical free toners to wipe excessive oil.

·        Drinking at least 10 glasses of water daily maintains your skin free from excess oil.
