I love soft, silky, shiny hair!!! Don’t you? Not only me, it’s every girl dream to have such soft, silky hair. Excessive use of heating appliances like hair straighteners, blow dryers make your hair dry. Lack of moisture in your hair make your hair look dry & frizzy. Dry hair makes your hair very dull looking hair, itchy scalp; split ends what not many problems arise due to dry hair. There are many causes for dry hair. Exposing your hair to sunlight, swimming in chlorinated water and also certain medical conditions it is really hard to deal with damaged hair. But you can again restore your shine with these simple home remedies

HOMEMADE REMEDIES TO GET RID OF DRY HAIR.

 

ALOE VERA:

Aloe Vera is a natural conditioner for hair. You can apply aloe Vera juice directly on your hair and the wash out your hair with regular shampoo. Aloe Vera moisturizes your scalp and hair. Take 1/4th cup of Aloe Vera gel and mix it with two tablespoons of olive oil and mix all the above  three ingredients thoroughly and apply the mixture all over your scalp and hair. Leave it on for about 30minutes and then rinse off with your regular shampoo.

MILK:

With this simple raw milk and banana mask you can get rid of dry hair. Take a banana and blend it in to fine paste. Now add half a cup of raw milk to banana paste & mix well. Apply this mixture all over your scalp and hair. Wait for 40 minutes and then wash your hair with your regular shampoo for sure raw milk will boost your hair.

EGGS:

Eggs do contain adequate amount of proteins which enhances hair growth. To moisturize dry hair, take 2 eggs and separate egg yolk and egg white. Mix a table spoon of olive oil to egg white and apply directly on your scalp and cover your hair with shower cap. Allow the mixture to sit on your hair for 20 to 30 minutes and then wash your hair with warm water using your regular shampoo.

 YOGURT:

Yogurt acts as natural conditioners for your hair. Yogurt contains moisturizing properties which are very beneficial to cure dry hair. Take half a cup of yogurt and add one table spoon of olive oil & one table spoon of lemon juice. Mix all the above three ingredients thoroughly and apply this mixture on your scalp and hair. Let this mixture sit on your hair for about 30 minutes and then rinse off your hair with your regular shampoo.

FENUGREEK:

Fenugreek seeds help to manage dry hair with its conditioning properties. Soak four table spoons of fenugreek seeds in water for overnight. Next day morning blend them to make a smooth paste. To this paste add 1/4th cup of yogurt and a tablespoon of olive oil and again blend them to make a smooth paste. Now apply this mixture on your scalp and hair and cover it with a shower cap & wait for an hour. Then wash your hair with your regular shampoo. Do this process for at least 2 times in a week for best results.

BANANA:

Banana is a very effective homemade remedy for the treatment of dry hair. Potassium rich bananas prevent split ends and make our hair really soft. Take two ripe bananas and add two table spoons of yogurt & few drops of olive oil and blend all the above mentioned ingredients into a fine paste. Now apply this mixture on your scalp and hair and let it sit on your hair for 40 minutes. Then rinse off your hair with your regular shampoo.

PAPAYA:

Papaya is filled with all the important nutrients which make your hair healthy. Mix one cup of diced papaya with 2 table spoons of yogurt and few drops of jojoba oil and blend them together to make a fine paste. Now apply this mixture on your scalp and hair, wait for 30 minutes and then wash your hair with your regular shampoo.

PUMPKIN:

Vitamins which are essential for hair growth are present in pumpkin. Slice pumpkin into small pieces and boil them for some time and then blend the boiled pumpkin into smooth paste. Add 2 tablespoons of yogurt and few drops of olive oil to the pumpkin paste and mix well. Now apply this mixture on your scalp and hair, wait for 30 minutes and then wash your hair with your shampoo.

OLIVE OIL:

One of the best oil for dry hair. Whenever you are going to have head bath, just warm some olive oil and apply on your scalp and hair. Massage your scalp with your fingertips for few minutes and leave it for one hour. Then wash your hair with warm water with your shampoo.

LEMON JUICE:

Whenever we think about home remedy for any hair related problems, we first prefer lemon juice. Lemon is such a blessed gift for healthy hair. Take 2 tablespoons of lemon and mix few drops of almond oil and mix well. Apply this on your scalp and hair, wait for 30 minutes and then wash your hair with your shampoo.  You can also take a slice of lemon and rub it on your scalp before going to have head bath. This really works wonder for dry hair.

SESAME SEED OIL:

Anti-fungal properties along with vitamins and minerals which are essential for healthy hair are present in sesame seed oil. It makes an excellent treatment for dry hair. Take some sesame seed oil and warm it. Apply this warm sesame seed oil on your scalp and hair, massage for few minutes and then wrap your hair with hot towel and wait for one hour. Then rinse off your hair with warm water with your shampoo. Do this process regularly for shiny moisturized hair.

SIMPLE TIPS:

  • ·        Wash your hair with cold water, hot water may damage your hair.
  • ·        Always use a soft bristles comb, rather than plastic bristles.
  • ·        Do not comb wet hair.
  • ·        Don’t forget to use conditioner after hair wash.
  • ·        Protect your hair from direct sunlight by wearing hat or umbrella.
  • ·        Drink plenty of water and maintain well balanced diet.
